The classic problem: your scanner only does single-sided, so you scan all the fronts into one PDF, flip the stack, and scan all the backs into another — now the backs are in reverse order and everything's in two files. Alternate & Mix zips them together into one correctly ordered document: page 1 front, page 1 back, page 2 front, and so on.
